Caroline Serrett, MS, CCC-SLP - Speech/Language Pathologist
Caroline is a Speech Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience who specializes in social learning, pragmatics, and executive functioning. Caroline has been involved with Gateway since it’s beginning, initially as a founding board member, and officially joined the staff as a speech language pathologist in 2018.
Caroline has dedicated her career to helping students with language, social, and learning differences. Her passion lies in providing individualized support and interventions to address the unique challenges that each student faces, especially in the ever-changing social world.
Caroline began her career in 2000 in the Houston Independent School District and transitioned to Cy-Fair ISD in 2002. In 2003, Caroline began her private practice (Speech and Language Connection) in the Tanglewood area in Houston. After 15 years in private practice, Caroline’s career journey brought her to Gateway where she has been able to continue to shape and mold its social learning program.
Caroline continues to advance her knowledge and skillset through continuing education programs that focus on social learning and executive functioning. Caroline firmly believes that how her students “show up” in their various environments now and in the future is vastly more important than any academic skills.
In her free time, Caroline enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling the world with her family.
